What is Fostering?

Fostering is providing a temporary home for an animal until they are adopted; all supplies and vet care are provided, and you may commit however much time as you are able. We guide you through the entire process.

With each new foster, we are able to rescue one more animal. While we have a brick-and-mortar location, a number of animals reside in foster care.

Who can foster?

Anyone >18 years of age can foster a pet! If you're younger and would like to foster, please have a parent/guardian fill out our application.

We serve areas near Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, San Bernardino, and everywhere above and in between. We even have some foster parents in Mexico! If you live close by or if you visit the area often, we'd love for you to help us foster. All people are welcome, both local and nonlocal, but please note, you are still required to bring the animal back for any vet visits, vaccines, or adoption appointments given a 24-48 hr notice. We can transport animals to foster homes potentially as well if you foster a long-timer from us (animals who have been in our care for a while!)

Having other pets at home is not a problem! We'd recommend keeping your pets separate for the first few days, especially if you're fostering kittens, but after a period of time adjusting, it'd be great to introduce everyone.

To get started, fill out a foster application below. We will work together to find good fit and set up an appointment to come to meet a potential foster match. Supplies will all be provided and sent home with you!
