Kitten Rescue Program

Kittens are among the most vulnerable animals that come into shelters, and it's important for us to provide as much help as possible for them. We try to rescue kittens of all ages, as long as we have the fosters for it.

Help! I've found abandoned kittens!

If you find kittens, first make sure that mom isn't around. Mom cats are best at raising them. If she doesn't come back for some time, take the kittens in and be sure to keep them warm. Some moms will leave litters for long periods. Never feed kittens cow’s milk, and always be careful with the little guys, especially if they're tiny. If mom is around, we can help provide a humane trap for her - do not take the kittens yet!
Contact us at kimchenvidarescue@gmail.com or text (626) 676-8037 for help first so we can evaluate the situation and provide advice and help. We try to do as much as we can with our resources.

We find fosters for kittens and moms as necessary. If you find kittens, and if you're able to foster the kittens until they're 8 weeks old, we can provide the supplies you need! We cover all vetting if you are able to foster them. Once they are 8 weeks old, we find them forever homes. All kittens will be vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and spayed/neutered.

If you need low-cost spay/neuter options, please also reach out at the contacts above. We also recommend looking at SNPLA for low-cost services.

If you want microchipping, deworming, and vaccination services, you may reach out at the same numbers.
