Remote Volunteering

Here are our current remote volunteering needs! These are eligible for volunteer credit hours. You can volunteer with us from anywhere around the world!

  1. Pet Posters & Pet Intakes: help post our pets on Petfinder, Adoptapet, and input new arrivals into our online software! We train you to join our small team of volunteers to help do this. This requires that you have a little time daily (15-30 mins) to check email and post up animals, since we need to work fast!

  2. Animal Advocate: these volunteers help us by regularly checking that all animal profiles online have sufficient numbers of pictures and good looking profile bios. Your work is impactful, since a pet’s profile is everything when it comes to finding an interested adopter!

  3. Virtual Fundraisers: if you have some kind of skill or typically run some sort of skill-based class, we would love your help in hosting virtual fundraisers to both get people active at home and also support animal rescue! Examples could be a yoga class, with a $15 donation per class from each participant that goes directly towards rescue.

  4. Water Bottle Recycling: collect water bottles from your home and your neighbors and bring them to a local recycling center (many can be found at grocery stores) and support us that way! This is a wonderful project for younger kids or even Girl Scout troops!

  5. Restaurant Fundraisers: reach out to local restaurants and chains to see if they have fundraising options - these are often “events” created so that friends, family, and people in the community can visit a restaurant on a certain day and mention the fundraiser’s name. Then, a % of those purchases goes directly to us!

  6. Outreach: a big help you can do for us is making more locals aware of our rescue! We have a variety of flyers that we welcome volunteers to bring to local veterinary offices, pet shops, coffee shops, and stores to post up to raise awareness about our rescue and our services! We are also working on setting up donation boxes at local businesses to collect used/new/open supplies and blankets/towels for the winter.

  7. Pet Advocates - Binders Project: similarly to #6, we love volunteers who can make binders with pet profiles for animals who have been in our care for a long time. Those binders can then be dropped off at veterinary offices and pet-related stores such as grooming centers and supply stores so that people can look through them to see if there are animals they’re interested in adopting!
