Volunteer Opportunities
We welcome new volunteers! We are working to build up our volunteer program to be as robust as it used to be; we depend greatly on our volunteers and want anyone who wants to help to be a part of our mission.
When volunteering with us, you may help with anything from bathing/grooming animals, walking dogs, socializing shy animals, cleaning our cattery/office area, organizing supplies, and cleaning our outdoor area. Click below to apply and see our latest updates.
Age Restrictions: 13+, if under 13 must be with a parent, older sibling, or guardian. All volunteers sign a waiver prior to beginning volunteering.
Volunteer Hours & Court Ordered Hours: You may perform court-ordered service hours or gain volunteer credit hours by working with us. Please bring your relevant paperwork/forms when you come in.
General Volunteer Needs:
Pet Photographers: if you have an iPhone X or any phone capable of “Portrait Mode,” we need your help! We are looking for volunteers who can come in 1-2x a week to take photos of our new animals for postings. This is a critical part of the work we do!
Regular Dog Walkers: for anyone who has experience with walking dogs, we need dog people! Come with a friend and walk a few dogs each week. Help us post on our socials and increase our reach too by sending in photos!
Transporters: for anyone open to dedicating their morning/early afternoons to bringing our pets to the veterinarian, we NEED your help! This is one of the most critical parts of what we do, since we send animals to see the vet multiple times a week.
Specialized Volunteers:
If you have special skillsets such as ability to vaccinate and administer medications, professional dog training, professional grooming, running errands (post office, purchasing supplies, dropping animals off at the vet), photography, landscaping, please make note of that when you get in touch with us!
Partnerships:
If you happen to work in an industry that may benefit (mutually) from a partnership, don’t hesitate to reach out! If you have family members who own a coffee shop or work in the veterinary industry or even if you’re a yoga instructor, we’d love to work with you. We are always looking to increase our reach and connect with the community.
Group Volunteering
We welcome groups! If you are a club or some sort of large group that would like to collaborate, please fill out the forms below. We want to work as much as possible with the community!
We are a school club - what can we do?
Click the pink button below to collaborate. We can discuss different projects that we can do! We love to work with high school and college clubs interested in supporting animal rescue. We may also plan future in-person projects in advance. Do not hesitate to inquire!
Girl and Boy Scout Troops - What can we do?
We work with troops very often as well as people pursuing Eagle Scout projects or Gold Awards. Many students like to come up with their own projects and bounce ideas off of us. We can work with you to optimize your project and ideas. Here's a list of possibilities!
